GM and OnStar® to give $1 to the American Red Cross for every blue button push through OnStar’s “Follow Santa” Program

Now through December 24th, children and their families with an active OnStar subscription can follow Santa’s journey as he prepares to deliver happiness around the world.

OnStar’s “Follow Santa“ is an annual program available only in the United States, led by OnStar in collaboration with the North American Aerospace Defense Command (NORAD). Together, OnStar and NORAD have ignited the magic of the season for more than a decade.

How it Works
With a push of the blue OnStar button, children can find out what Santa is up to by asking: “What’s Santa up to today?” or “Where is Santa right now?” On the other end of the call, OnStar advisors are ready to join in the holiday spirit by giving realistic updates on Santa’s whereabouts and activities, such as: “He’s getting the reindeer ready,” “He’s finishing up the last toys” or “He’s flying over Australia.”

For every blue OnStar button push linked to the “Follow Santa” program, GM and OnStar will donate $1 to the American Red Cross—up to a $25,000 maximum. Throughout the whole week, children can get a new update every day until Santa visits their home on Christmas Eve.
